For affectionate or cuddly dogs, being near you is preferred territory.

In other words, your affectionate dog just wants to be underneath you all of the time. Stoic dogs can show their trust by allowing you to interact with them in ways that other people cannot. This can include, for example, affection or putting on certain dog equipment like a leash.
Consider boundaries asserted. Don’t think you’re a “bad owner” if your dog doesn’t check all the boxes, but you’ll surely recognize some of these behaviors.
